  7. Welcome to Asian Palate (Japan)!  Also included on this disk are some hot 
  8. Quicktime VIDEO clips to introduce you to some of our other products!

  14. INSTALLATION:
  15.  
  16. To install, run the INSTALL.EXE program in the ¥PC directory on the CD-ROM.  
  17. The installation is completely noninvasive and consists only of creating a 
  18. program group and icons in the Program Manager which point to the CD-ROM 
  19. drive applications.

  22. YOUR NEW ICONS:
  23.  
  24. -The first time the program is run you will be prompted to enter a 
  25.  password.  If you choose to password protect access to this product, 
  26.  only the first 8 characters of the password are recognized.
  27.  
  28. -Click on the girl icons to choose a girl.  It will bring you to a button 
  29.  page of the girl. 
  30.  
  31. -Click on the right arrow to go to the second page of girl icons or the 
  32.  left arrow to go back to first page of girl icons.
  33.  
  34. -On the button pages, hit the buttons to view the corresponding pictures.
  35.  
  36. -Click on the Icon Page Image at the bottom right corner to return to the 
  37.  previous page.
  38.  
  39. -Click on the Quit button at the bottom left corner to exit the program.

  41. -Click on "Music Off" to turn off music or music names to play musics
  42.  
  43. Hint for users:
  44. If the music is jumpy while the program is running, go to the program
  45. manager, control panel, drivers,  do a setup on [MCI] sound, increase
  46. the amount of memory for the audio buffer.
  47.  
  48. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
  49.  
  50. To view the pictures you should have a 386 or better CPU with
  51. 8-bit (256 color) or better graphics, a sound card, Microsoft Windows
  52. 3.1 and DOS 5.0, and a mouse.  Your PC should have at least 4MB of RAM,
  53. and a CD-ROM drive.
  54.  
  55. Be sure Windows is using a display driver that will provide 256 colors
  56. (or higher).  This product is not designed for 16-color displays (eg., the
  57. standard Windows VGA driver).  If your colors look bad, run Windows Setup 
  58. to install the display driver provided by your video card manufacturer that 
  59. supports 256 colors (any resolution). If you don't have much video memory, 
  60. select "640x480 256 color" in Windows Setup.
  61.  
  62. Operation will be a little faster, the window will be physically largest, 
  63. and best results are expected, if you use 640x480 resolution rather than 
  64. anything higher.  If you operate in 1024x768 resolution, you may find that 
  65. the "small fonts" driver works better than the "large fonts" driver (or, 
  66. less frequently, vice versa, depending who wrote the drivers).

  68. ATI's "Crystal Fonts" mode is not supported.  Change the Video driver to
  69. 1024x768 small fonts, or use a lower resolution.
  70.  
  71. If you have problems reading any of your CD-ROMs check the CD-ROM for any 
  72. scratches or finger prints. Use a soft cloth to wipe from the center to the 
  73. edge. CD-ROMs are more vulnerable to damage than audio CDs, so always place 
  74. them in the jewel box or CD caddies whenever possible.

  76. Color conflicts can be caused by your wallpaper.  If the program loads up in 
  77. the wrong colors, simply quit, set the wallpaper to [none] in 
  78. Control-Panel|Desktop and run again. 
  79.  
  80. If memory managers such as QEMM or 386 MAX are used and the program does not 
  81. work, sometimes the creation of a system boot disk which loads only the 
  82. necessary devices, all loaded low, will fix the problem.
